Series I: Personality Files
Series I, Personality Files, contains files for individual people. Materials in this series include printed (paper) photographs and newspaper clippings. Photographs include mainly local people, as well as visits to the Miami Valley by famous individuals, such as presidents, politicians, or celebrities. The clippings currently contain a broader scope of individuals, as these have not been weeded.
Series II: Subject Files
Series II: Subject Files documents events, places, and things - any news item that is not a person.
Subseries I-A: Personality Files Large (PL)
Subseries I-A: Personality Large (PL), is the largest subseries and consists of 9” x 12” files. This subseries includes both photographs and clippings. Files for prominent individuals, both local and non-local, tend to be found in the PL files, because the files are physically larger and can accommodate both larger, as well as a greater number of, items per file. However, this largest subseries is also where most of the “ordinary” people can be found also.
Subseries I-B: Personality Files Medium (PM)
Subseries I-C: Personality Files Small (PCS)
Subseries I-C: Personality Small (PCS), , consists of 3” x 5” envelopes containing only newspaper clippings (no photographs). Files are arranged alphabetically by last name, first name. This subseries corresponds to the previous Personality Clippings (1B) subseries.
Subseries I-E: Personality VIP Files (PVIP)
Subseries I-E: Personality VIP Files (PVIP) may include photographs and clippings for specific “very important people” (frequently requested people). These have been separated out into their own special box(es), often a 3-ring binder box (in the case of photos). Examples of PVIP files include Neil Armstrong, Charles F. Kettering, and the Wright Brothers.
